KAFA The Academy FM Radio

KAFA 97.7 The Academy is a radio station of the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We play today’s alternative rock without commercial breaks, mixing new releases with rock tracks for different tastes. Our DJs are cadets, so the shows have their own personality and reflect life at the Academy. You can listen on 97.7 FM locally or stream us online from anywhere in the world.

KAFA first went on air on January 17, 1971, and has been giving cadets a chance to build their broadcasting and communication skills ever since. Along with music, we bring listeners Falcon sports, Academy events, graduation coverage and interviews with special guests. For us, radio is not just about the playlist, it’s also a way to share the stories and everyday life of the Academy with listeners near and far.
