BTS, EXO or Blackpink are considered superstars of superlatives in South Korea. Their faces are decorated with light boards on skyscrapers, there are collectible cards with members of K-Pop groups, and sometimes you can even find themed cafes where everything from food to music is dedicated to Korean musical groups. Anyone who travels to South Korea or wants to understand its culture will not be able to bypass the K-Pop phenomenon. The songs are most often performed in Korean, but they often include terms or whole phrases in English. Elements of genres such as rap, soul, R&B and hip-hop are often added to classical pop music in K-Pop. Today, K-Pop no longer just describes a musical style. K-Pop can be described as a cultural movement that strongly influences the lives of young people in South Korea. K-Pop is popular not only in South Korea. In recent years, K-Pop groups have become increasingly popular in the international arena. Whether it's the Top 100 in Germany or the United States, Korean songs are increasingly found on the charts today.
